Counselor
Welcome to Blakely– we are excited you are here!
I have worked in education since 2012, with experience as both a teacher and school
counselor. Prior to working in education, I worked as a playgroup leader and skills
coach for a multidimensional therapeutic foster care program in California. I have a BA
in Psychology, an MA in Education, an MS in School Counseling, and am a National
Certified Counselor. I am passionate about advocating for youth, partnering with families
and staff, and supporting everyone with all things that make us human.
During the school year, you can find me engaging students in social-emotional lessons,
skills based groups, support groups, and individual sessions. I have also found that true
magic happens when I’m supporting students in real time during lunch and recess.
Outside of school, I savor both new adventures to new places and slow days at home
with my husband, daughter, yellow lab, chickens, and rabbits. I love spending time in
nature, collecting house plants, a good nonfiction book, learning to garden and crochet,
and yoga.
