As a 1993 BHS graduate and lifelong Islander, I eventually received a BA in Music from the UW and a Masters in Teaching from SPU. After careers in MUSIC PERFORMANCE and CUSTOM WOODWORK, I am very happy to be the Music Specialist at Blakely Elementary. My career as a classroom teacher began in 2018. My primary instruments are VOICE and PIANO, with a specific interest in jazz, soul and a-cappella music. My favorite song is Chameleon by Herbie Hancock. I believe that music might be the greatest means we have for connecting people and community. In addition to music and woodworking activities, I enjoy being outdoors with my wife and kids and cheering for the Seattle Mariners.
