About Me

Hello. I have been dedicated to the field of education since 1998, primarily teaching 4th grade. I also spent valuable time as a math instructional coach. During this period, I was involved in implementing a new curriculum and research-based instructional practices in math in BISD.

I earned my teaching degree from WSU, with a minor in philosophy. I have a MS in instruction and assessment. Since 2003, I have proudly held and maintained my National Board Certification in Middle Childhood Generalist.

I reside on Bainbridge Island with my husband, Andrew, and our Maltese-Poodle, O'Shea. We have two wonderful children who live in New York and Los Angeles. Outside of teaching, I enjoy staying active and engaged in my community. You can often find me shopping, exercising, attending sporting events, playing cribbage, traveling, managing my fantasy football team, or spending time with friends and family.

As an educator, I hold high expectations for myself and firmly believe that every child deserves 180 days of learning in our 180-day school year. I’m passionate about creating an environment where every student feels supported and celebrated while also being challenged to grow and succeed.

I look forward to a fantastic year of learning!
