Welcome to 1st grade! I started my teaching career in California but then took a long break at home with my children. In 2020, I began working for BISD as a substitute and paraeducator. In 2023, I started teaching 1st grade at Blakely Elementary. I love our school, our parents, and, most of all, our students! I enjoy each child's creativity, imagination and enthusiasm for learning.

My husband, Dave, and I have four children who are scattered around the West Coast. When we are all together, we enjoy camping, hiking, playing games, and being outdoors, all of which make us a perfect Northwest family.

I look forward to a year of learning and growing with your child. They always end up teaching me as much as I teach them. It is going to be a great year in 1st grade!
