BISD CALENDARS

BISD Calendars

For all those planners out there, we are pleased to announce we school calendars through 2026-27.

2024-2025 SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS

FROM THE HEALTH ROOM - MEDICATION PICK UP

FROM THE HEALTH ROOM

**IMPORTANT**   If your student has medications in the health room, please remember to pick them up by the end of the school day on the last day of school. If they are not picked up, they will be kept locked in the health room cabinet over the summer. If you do not pick them up and they expire over the summer, they will be properly disposed of at the end of the day on the last day of school.

Let me know if you have any questions as to when your student’s medications are due to expire.

Please contact Nurse Marci if you have questions.       206-780-2074     mcollins@bisd303.org

END OF  YEAR REMINDERS

Make Sure to check lunch account balances to make sure
you have it cleared up for the summer! To make an online payment go here.  You can also send a check in payable to Blakely Elementary.

Are you moving over the summer?

If you are not returning to BISD schools, please contact Kyanne Hawkins in the office at 206-780-2060 to let us know your plans!

This helps us with enrollment and placement. Thanks for your help.

Are you missing a coat?  Lunch box?  Water Bottle?
Our lost and found is overflowing.  Please remind your student to check the lost and found in the entry hall.  If anything has a name on it we will return to the student.  All remaining items will be donated at the end of the school year.

It's time to do the ABCs for all students returning to
BISD for the 2024-25 school year!

Our Annual Back-to-school Check-in (ABC) process lets us know that your student(s) are returning to our schools for 2024-25 and allows parents/guardians to review annual information.

The ABCs must be completed* for all students attending BISD schools in 2024-25 — this includes both new and returning students.  Access the ABCs by logging into your Family Access account. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete.

If you need assistance with the ABC process (such as translation, accessing technology, or other questions), please contact the office manager at your student's school.

*Class placement/class schedules will not be released in August until the ABCs are completed. But why delay? Go ahead and take care of it today!

FARM TO SCHOOL SURVEY

BISD has been selected to participate in a year-long professional learning opportunity called the Farm to School Institute.

As a part of this Institute, a team from the BISD community (teaching and food and nutrition staff, administrators, community members) will be attending a 3-day intensive in July.  At this intensive, the team will develop a farm-to-school action plan for BISD that integrates the community, classroom, and cafeteria by focusing on school gardens, food and nutrition education, and local procurement into school meals. Ahead of the intensive, we are seeking input from the BISD community that will be integrated into the action planning process through conversations and this survey

Thank you for sharing your input about the BISD farm-to-school program!
